Asteroid with Tiny Moon . . . and more of Space too . . .

Asteroid 2004 BL86 came within  745,000 miles of the Earth on Tuesday, January 26. That is actually pretty close! Our moon is 238,900 miles from the Earth.

The images, captured by NASA, show a small moon, approximately 230 feet (70 meters) across. The asteroid is approximately 1,100 feet (325 meters) across.

There are 20 images in this .gif movie.
